The board of editors of the Industrial Magazine is pleased to wish you and your industrial institution permanent development and prosperity. The Kuwait Industries Union has been launched in 1989 to service the industrial sector and industry workers and support their interests. It looks forward to more co-operations in order to achieve our targeted tasks and promote the industrial sector. Knowingly, the rapid development occurred locally and internationally witnessing the inclusion of the state of Kuwait in the world trade organization agreement (WTO) and its consequences represented in open markets, stipulation of laws and rules pertaining to intellectual property rights, patents, glutting cases … and all global technical developments in the industry … require there being interaction and solidarity among industrial sector's bodies to confront challenges and achieve common targets. The Union is an active member in various entities, such as :- • Member in the Board of directors of The Public Authority for Industry. • Member of industrial exportation Development Center in the Public   Authority for   Industry and sub-committee for qualifying exporting   factories. • Member in the committee formed upon decree No. 259/2003 to establish a sub-committee entitled to follow up the operations of executing priority provisions stipulated for purchasing the domestic goods by governmental and public organizations and institutions. Hence, the Union can contribute in supporting industrial investors and take a sophisticated care of their interests.
